About Raceway Trailers


Raceway Trailers was founded in 1986. Originally specializing in horse floats, the 'Raceway' name was chosen because of the close proximity to Addington Raceway. Later, the business commenced construction of light trailers and special one-off type trailers with ratings up to 2500kg.

Our current standard models of hot dipped galvanised finish trailers range from 6' x 4' single axle through to 10' x 5' tandem axle. Also available are Builders Specials, Transporters, Tippers, Enclosed Models, Special Purpose, Horse Floats, Crates and all repairs, modifications and maintenance.

To date over 300 horse floats and hundreds of trailers have been manufactured to a very high standard of finish. The robust construction of a Raceway trailer is appreciated by many satisfied customers including the likes of Fulton Hogan, Calder Stewart, Titan Cranes, Independant Lines and Wormald Industries.

Standard features include:

  • hot dipped galvanised for rust-free long life;
  • 1.6mm sheet steel construction with a ribbed deck (plywood or timber decks can be supplied if required);
  • all-new hubs and stubs, second-hand rims and tyres;
  • installed wiring and lighting;
  • drop-down and removable tailgates;
  • 12 tie-down points on single axle trailers and 14 points on tandem axle trailers;
  • 13", 14" or 15" wheels with second-hand tyres with a minimum tread of 60%;
  • attention to detail (for example, no sharp edges);
  • trailer dimensions are measured on their internal deck size - for example, an 8' x 4' trailer has a 2.460m x 1.235m inside deck size.

Any size can be made to order; available with/without sliding stock door; standard construction 25 x 25mm RHS with 335 HRC mesh panels; hot dipped galvanised.
